Advocacy and Outreach

Carry It Forward is a 501(c)3 that serves unhoused people in Lane County, Oregon, with a primary concentration in Eugene, Springfield, and rural areas in East Lane County. Our advocacy and outreach programs are actively informed by the population we serve, and approximately 31% of employees are unhoused or have lived experience with homelessness.

Emergency response

Carry it Forward is a member of the Lane Coalition of Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) and activates a trained, emergency street outreach response team in times of inclement or extreme weather or community disaster.

We facilitate the delivery of survival-based items (water, electrolytes, clothing, camping gear, basic hygiene, and first aid items) to sanctioned and unsanctioned camps in times of crisis and assist with the wider system coordination efforts with a primary focus in Eugene, Springfield, and rural areas in East Lane County.
